Visualising Urban Geographies Launch Event
Are you interested in Edinburgh's history and a new electronic resource for examining its history through maps? This launch event will describe and appraise the new online resources created by the Visualising Urban Geographies project. This collaborative project between the University of Edinburgh and National Library of Scotland has brought together sets of historical maps, census and address-based information to allow new ways of understanding Edinburgh's history. The launch complements the workshop held in December and will include talks and demonstrations from those directly involved in the project, as well as external speakers, reviewing it and setting it in context.
